Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site

The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is a living monument to the individuals involved in BC’s fishing industry, preserving its history and presenting it in an engaging and relevant way.
Our family-oriented program is an oral history booklet and staff-led storytelling session that connects with our exhibit Fish Tales. The booklet provides prompts and a space for kids to record interviews with family members, and collect stories of their experiences.
Drop-in on Saturday, June 3rd from 11AM to 3PM and participate in our Doors Open program on the Outdoor Plaza. Then receive 15% discount on admission if you would like to visit the Gulf of Georgia Cannery building. Children and youth under 17 are always free!
